About Binnein Shuas (Ardverikie Wall)

Binnein Shuas (Ardverikie Wall) is a isolated mountain crag situated near Loch Laggan, renowned for its pristine granite-like schist face. The rock is famously coarse and featured, studded with large quartz knobs, positive edges, and reliable gear placements. Facing south, the main wall receives full sun throughout the day and dries quickly in open valley breezes. The crag is world-famous for hosting Ardverikie Wall, one of Scotland's most celebrated multi-pitch Hard Severe climbs, alongside higher E-grade face routes. The approach involves a forty-five minute walk along forestry tracks and open moorland from the parking area near Loch Laggan. Midges and damp moorland approaches can be present, though the high-friction rock dries swiftly once the rain clears.
