About Little Orme

Little Orme is a formidable limestone headland standing east of Llandudno, providing adventurous sport and trad sea cliff climbing. The rock consists of massive, sheer Carboniferous limestone featuring huge roofs, water-worn pockets, and vertical face holds. Facing east over the ocean, the crag receives morning sun but can be exposed to cold easterly winds and sea spray. The venue focuses heavily on high-grade sport climbing and serious traditional testpieces, highlighted by routes like Wall of Misconception. Access involves abseiling or scrambling down coastal paths from the Little Orme parking areas. Loose rock hazards, massive sea swells, and strict tidal cutoffs make this an expert venue.
