About Parriot Mesa

Parriot Mesa is the large Wingate mesa west of Castle Valley proper — visible from Highway 128 as you drive in from Moab. Broader grade spread than the other Castle Valley towers, from a 5.6 mesa scramble to hard 5.11 lines. Same 48h wet-Wingate rule; the approach starts from the Highway 128 pullout so is less affected by Moenkopi mud than Castleton itself.
