About Saddle Head

One of the easier Pembroke crags — solid south-facing limestone with huge holds. Good crag for VS/HVS leaders. Comfortable ledge well above the sea for most routes. Friendly, accessible sea cliff trad on smooth limestone slabs and vertical walls, catching all available sunlight throughout the day and drying quickly under continuous sea winds. The grade profile is welcoming for lower and intermediate leaders — classics include Sea Mist (HS 4b), Blue Sky (VS 4c), Saddle Wall (HVS 5a), and Penny (VS 4c). Access is via a short walk down from the MOD-Range access point at Bosherston — check firing times before setting off.
