About Supramonte — Monte Oddeu

The best and most accessible multi-pitch venue on the whole island of Sardinia — a mountain of Jurassic limestone rising above Dorgali in the Supramonte massif east of Nuoro. 30 minutes' drive from Cala Gonone plus 30-60 minutes' walk to the wall base. Routes range from 200m to 600m long on excellent limestone; the different aspects across the mountain give sun-or-shade options and mean at least some wall is dry after any storm. Hotel Supramonte is one of the great big-wall testpieces of the Mediterranean. Multi-pitch commitment — plan for a full day and check the weather thoroughly.
