About Ardheslaig
Ardheslaig is a roadside crag of rough, slabby Lewisian gneiss above the Applecross coast road, about 4km north-west of Shieldaig. The routes are around 35m and mostly in the lower grades, which makes it a popular place for a first lead, though protection thins out on the upper slabs. It faces south-west, gets the afternoon sun and dries quickly. The crag is less than five minutes from the road.
