About Forestland Boulders
Forestland Boulders is one of Icicle Canyon's most developed bouldering zones — a compact cluster of high-quality granite boulders on the north side of the canyon, 5.7 miles up Icicle Road from Leavenworth. The area holds 83 problems from V0 to V11, including Cool Whip (V4), Trundle (V6), and Real Mickey (V9). East-of-crest location and rain-shadow climate keep the granite dry through most of the shoulder seasons — May through October is prime. Day-use only, no campfires. Seasonal note: raptor nesting closures affect specific problems each spring through August 15 — check Washington Climbers Coalition and Access Fund signage on arrival. Northwest Forest Pass required at the trailhead parking area.
