About High Rocks

Privately owned. Never climb when damp. Historic, dramatic sandstone outcrop with towering, compact bluffs, massive overhanging roofs, technical slab faces, and delicate sandy pockets. Set within a sheltered wooded gorge — mostly shaded and needs dry spells before conditions come in. Climbing is top-rope or soloing only. Classic lines include Infra Red (E6 6b), Nemesis (E2 5c), and The Slab (VS 4c). Access requires an admission fee at the entrance — check opening hours before visiting.
