About Linville Gorge — Table Rock

Table Rock is the friendliest Linville Gorge multi-pitch venue — a striking quartzite summit high on the eastern ridge of Linville Gorge Wilderness / Pisgah National Forest, with spectacular gorge views. Excellent beginner trad territory (fun 5.3–5.5 leads abound) plus harder classics up to 5.10. 74 climbs across trad, sport and bouldering. The tourist trail to the summit and road right at the base create a circus atmosphere on nice weekends — go weekdays or shoulder-season. — parking then requires a much longer approach. Free USFS access. Quartzite dries fast.
