Bird ban (03-01 to 08-01)
Seasonal bird restrictions affect sectors on outer Lydstep cliffs
Lydstep Point is a historic coastal venue near Tenby featuring massive limestone caverns and steep outer sea cliffs. The rock character consists of sharply featured, pocketed limestone, featuring extreme roof climbs, steep sport walls, and traditional sea-cliff cracks. Facing south into open sea, upper walls catch full sun and dry rapidly in coastal winds, though inner cave roofs can seep after wet weather. The site is famous for hard athletic sport climbing alongside classic trad routes, spanning 6c up to 8b+, with Chupacabra serving as an iconic local testpiece. The approach involves a fifteen-minute walk from the Lydstep Haven village or headland parking followed by steep path descents. High tides completely flood cave entrances, making tide timing critical.
