About Middle Fell Buttress

Middle Fell Buttress is the low-lying, roadside outcrop tucked under Raven Crag on the north side of Langdale, and is home to one of the most-climbed easy multi-pitches in the Lake District. Its west-facing aspect and modest altitude mean it dries very quickly and is climbable throughout the season, though wear on the popular lines has polished the holds noticeably. Approach is a quick fifteen minutes from the Old Dungeon Ghyll along the well-worn path towards Stickle Ghyll.
