About Overton Cliff

A loose limestone sea cliff on the south Gower coast, 1 km west of Overton village. Routes start from a grass ledge at the level of the cave on the south face, reducing effective length to about 14m. Rock quality is poor in places with a lot of unstable holds; the Serious rating is warranted and no bolting is permitted. Part of the South Gower Coast SSSI and the Limestone Sea Cliffs of South West Wales SAC. Seasonal seabird nesting restrictions can apply to some sections during spring/summer — check BMC RAD before visiting.
