Access
(sensitive): the majority of the land is owned by the Washington Department of Transportation. Climbing is tolerated but not officially condoned. Park within white lines only, no music, pack out all waste, keep dogs controlled, and stay off the radar — losing this crag is a real risk if visitor impact grows.
Ozone is a sport-heavy basalt crag on the Washington side of the Columbia River Gorge, about 30 miles east of Vancouver on Highway 14. Over 100 climbs across 11 named walls including Old School Wall, Gold Wall, Shire Wall, and New School Wall span 5.6 to 5.12+, with a well-shaded aspect that makes this a summer refuge when Portland bakes. The rock is well-drained columnar basalt but the shaded, forested setting means some walls stay wet for weeks after big storms.
