Trevor Quarry is a large, disused limestone quarry perched high on the hillside above Trevor near Llangollen. The Carboniferous limestone offers smooth vertical walls, sharp pocketed faces, and technical slab features. Facing due south, the quarry captures all available sunlight and dries quickly after rain, though floor seepage occurs in winter. The climbing is predominantly sport climbing across French 6th and 7th grades, alongside select traditional routes. Modern sport climbs provide pleasant, well-bolted face climbing with expansive views over the Dee Valley. The approach involves a ten-minute walk up quarry tracks from the public parking area. Unstable quarry scree and loose blocks near top-outs require care when setting up anchors.
