With opposing gorge walls facing east and west, direct sunlight is brief, and high humidity keeps the gorge damp long after rain. The climbing is adventurous trad climbing mainly ranging from Severe to E4, featuring routes like Troller's Wall. Reach the gorge via a 20-minute walk along river footpaths from Appletreewick.
