About The Main Wall (Wild Iris)

The Main Wall is 'the centerpiece of the Wild Iris climbing' per Mountain Project — over 100 routes on varied, bulging dolomite pockets at 2710m altitude, ranging from 5.4 introductory face to 5.14d testpieces. Routes are 'bouldery and powerful relative to their grades' — Wild Iris pockets require finger strength above technique. (MP explicit warning) — the elevated south-facing exposure that makes it warm in shoulder seasons also makes it a lightning collector; be off the wall by early afternoon in July-August monsoon season.
