About Cilan Head
The southernmost point of the Llŷn Peninsula and one of Wales' most serious sea-cliff venues — 'as Gogarth is to Anglesey, so Cilan is to the Lleyn.' Massive intimidating roofs, hundreds of well-marked routes and mid-grade climbs of up to 700ft. The rock is a bizarre mix of grits (solid) and shales (less solid) — take care with choss. Adventurous positions on Cilan Main. Seasonal seabird nesting restrictions can apply to some sections during spring/summer — check BMC RAD before visiting.
