About Loch Kishorn Crags

Loch Kishorn Crags comprise a series of quiet sandstone and schist buttresses overlooking Loch Kishorn in Wester Ross. The rock provides clean wall climbing on positive edges, small crimps, and sharp crack features. Facing south, the crag catches full sunshine throughout the day and dries quickly after rain, benefiting from coastal breezes. The climbing includes traditional routes from Severe to E-grades alongside a few sport lines, with Kishorn Command serving as a key route. The approach involves a twenty-minute uphill walk across moorland paths from roadside laybys near Kishorn. Ticks in surrounding bracken and boggy moorland approaches are the primary considerations.
