Route-specific peregrine falcon closures typically apply Feb 1 – Jul 31 on named upper-wall routes: Naked Edge (upper 3 pitches), Diving Board, Centaur, Redguard (upper 3 pitches), Red Ant, Semi-Wild, Anthill Direct (upper 3 pitches), Sidetrack. Additionally a golden eagle closure Feb 27 – Jul 15 covers Continental Crag above Rattlesnake Gulch Trail. Partial — most classic routes below the closure zones remain open. About Redgarden Wall

Redgarden Wall is the premier crag of Eldorado Canyon State Park and one of the great trad walls of North America — a south-facing 500-foot Fountain Formation cliff towering above South Boulder Creek that Mountain Project calls a wall "probably every American climber who is anyone special has touched." 345 documented routes across multiple sections make it the largest cliff in the park. Layton Kor established a huge swath of the wall through the late 1950s and 60s. The rock is a bullet-hard adularia-cemented Fountain arkose that dries much faster than typical desert sandstone — locals routinely climb Yellow Spur within hours of a summer shower. Historic peregrine falcon closures ran Feb 1 – Jul 31 but were lifted as of June 2023 per CPW; check on-site signage in spring. CPW day-use $10/vehicle, $80 annual; summer requires a timed-entry reservation and shuttle from Eldorado Springs.
