About West Ridge & Rincon Wall

The West Ridge and Rincon Wall are Eldorado Canyon's south-facing suntraps — opposite Redgarden Wall on the south side of South Boulder Creek, holding what Mountain Project calls "the best concentration of one pitch routes of all grades" in the park, mostly aesthetic crack and corner climbs on Fountain arkose. West Ridge is a rambling upper ridge with one-pitch classics like 5.8 Crack and Le Void (5.9+); the Rincon Wall proper is a compact concentration of sport and mixed lines: Rincon (5.11a/b), Center Route (5.11a/b), Camoflauge (5.12c). Southern exposure means these walls come into shape earliest in spring and stay climbable latest into winter — the go-to Eldo venues on marginal-shoulder-season days. Approach either from the west end of the park via the Eldorado Canyon Trail (Rincon access) or from Milton Boulder by wading or boulder-hopping South Boulder Creek (Aug–May low-water window).
