About Red River Gorge — Bald Rock Recreational Preserve

The Bald Rock Recreational Preserve (BRRP) is 102 acres of RRGCC-owned land purchased in 2016, holding 226 routes across 10 primary sectors: Motherlode, Chocolate Factory, Bear's Den, Hole in the Wall, Hazel Hollow, The Unlode, Leonard's Wall, South Park, The Office, and Bald Rock Cove. The Chocolate Factory is the modern development highlight (Loompa, Snozzberries, Swedish Fish). Same wet-fragile Corbin sandstone ethic as the rest of the Gorge — RRGCC waiver mandatory. Access: KY-11 south, right on 498, right on Bald Fork Road. October–April prime.
