About Hospital Boulders
Hospital Boulders is a 150-200 problem SCC-owned bouldering venue on the west brow of Lookout Mountain above Gadsden, AL, off I-59 near Mountain View Hospital. Some short trad, sport and toprope climbs supplement the bouldering. Bomber Cumberland Plateau sandstone with excellent problems across every grade including Hustle and Flow (V10) and Mega Man (V11). Access is via a gated dirt road across from Mountain View Hospital — combination lock code available from the SCC (seclimbers.org). No bathrooms on site; a wag bag kiosk is provided — pack out human waste. No on-site camping. Cumberland sandstone wet-rock ethic applies.
