About Yellow Bluff

Yellow Bluff is a 1,500-foot unbroken hard-sandstone cliff near Huntsville, developed by Atlanta climber Shannon Stegg and other pioneers from the 1980s onward. 83 trad and sport climbs on gorgeous southern sandstone. Access is via a 5-minute hike to the right end of the SCC-owned section — critically, do NOT top out the cliff and do NOT hike past the SCC boundary (marked by a wooden warning sign); the property above and around the SCC parcel is private and any trespass jeopardises access. Keep noise down. Cumberland sandstone wet-rock ethic applies.
