About Noccalula Falls

Noccalula Falls is a 500-acre Gadsden AL city park opened to climbing in March 2023 through an SCC / City of Gadsden partnership. Sandstone cliffs on both north and south sides of the Black Creek gorge plus scattered boulders along the creek. Currently 65 documented climbs — development is ongoing. (no route development without permits); no top-rope setup from cliff tops; all climbing must start from the Gorge Trail at the cliff base; boulder only in designated zones. Free access via the north lot; paid entry from the south side. Cumberland sandstone wet-rock ethic applies.
