About Chun Castle Boulders
Chun Castle Boulders are a collection of coarse granite tor blocks situated near the historic iron-age hill fort of Chun Castle. The rock character offers high-friction granite with crisp crimps, sloper mantels, and clean compression edges across low-lying blocks. Facing all directions across the hilltop, boulderers can easily choose sunny or shaded problems throughout the day. Bouldering options span friendly introductory problems up to technical 7th grade roof testpieces, featuring lines like Chun Arete. Access takes ten minutes along clear moorland paths from minor road parking near Chun Farm. Open moorland winds ensure quick drying after rainfall.
