About Manure Pile Buttress

Manure Pile Buttress — officially Ranger Rock — is a 600-foot south-facing granite formation just east of El Capitan on the north side of the valley, and one of Yosemite's most-climbed introductory multi-pitch venues. The south aspect makes it a fast-drying, easy-access warm-up wall — five-minute walk from a pull-out on Northside Drive.
