About Stanage High Neb / Far Right

Very exposed and high up. Dries fast but can be brutally windy. High Neb sits higher than the Popular End; the rock is exceptionally clean, weathered gritstone with excellent friction, and the southwest aspect catches any available sunshine. Climbing ranges from delicate slab problems and classic cracks to fierce overhangs, predominantly in the VS to E3 range. Standout classics include the iconic High Neb Buttress and the formidable crack of Quietus. Approach takes roughly fifteen minutes along an ancient packhorse track from the Long Causeway parking area.
